What do all rocks have in common? They inspire you to look, to marvel and to ponder about the nature of things.
Even in the barren world of rock, the natural world of the Serra offers true beauty and colourful variety. Some lichens glow light yellow or orange and seem here to be deliberate arrangements of abstract graphic drawings. With their colors and shapes the rocks take on something akin to a character, even a personality, and stimulate free association.
Sometimes we see the shapes of animals, and sometimes the impressions remain unexpressed, and yet we feel a cosmic dialogical force that magically casts its spell over us. In our deep contemplation of the surface of the rock it becomes more than just a relict from ancient times of volcanic activity. Some of the rocks seem to say : "With me you can feel the power of the earth and you can connect to it "
Few visitors will leave this landscape without having forged a friendship with a least one rock.
